The apartment is conveniently located just a few minutes from the centre (which you can reach in 2 minutes by bus!). A few steps away, towards Piazza San Giacomo, you will find amenities including a supermarket, pharmacy, ATMs and even a very relaxing garden, but you may prefer to walk among the tall trees of San Giusto Castle and admire the ancient walls.... or even reach the centre by crossing the steep medieval part of the city to the trendiest areas of the city!
Getting around on foot is the best way to get to know the center of Trieste, which in this case can be reached in 15 minutes. From the apartment you can walk to San Giusto Castle, or you can reach the city's shores by walking down the steep Via San Michele. In that area also pass several bus lines that allow you to reach the lower part of the city really in a few minutes: with line 10 you will arrive directly in Piazza Unità, while with line 1 you will get to the train station; in the other direction you can reach the Burlo Garofalo Hospital, the palasport, the Stadium and the Risiera di San Sabba. Plan your route on the Trieste Trasporti website and remember that on Sundays the ticket lasts 4 hours! The San Giacomo neighborhood is very populated and it may be difficult to find free street parking for your car. We recommend that you park at the large Park San Giusto! Then via an elevator you will be able to reach the area adjacent to the apartment!
