Neighbourhood

The Jewish ghetto is the area behind Piazza Unità. The intricated streets are full of antique shops and second-hand book shops: imagine them populated by Jewish traders, with the goods displayed in bulk in a swarm of voices and colors, as in the nineteenth century, the golden age of the city. All the streets have names that recall the activities that took place here, such as Via del Pane, Via del Pesce, Via delle Ombrelle. Today the area has been redeveloped and you can find the best restaurants, such as Chimera di Bacco, Osteria da Marino, Al Petes, Le Barettine and Antica Ghiacceretta.

Crossing the Androna della Portizza, an ancient city gate that once overlooked a navigable canal, you will reach the amazing Piazza della Borsa. "Portizza" bar represents the morning meeting point for the locals who work in the city center. Perfect to start the day with a capo in bi, or to enjoy a spritz aperol at the end of the day on the comfortable outdoor sofas. We also recommend an happy hour at Osteria da Marino: they have a lot of local labels and will be able to recommend the best wines of the area.

Transport

The large Parking San Giusto is 130 meters away. The hourly fee is 1.90 €/h. The daily fee is € 20.00.

The nearby blue car parks have fees ranging from € 1.00 to € 1.75/hour, free from 8pm to 8am and on holidays.

Using the free lift inside Parking San Giusto it is possible to reach San Giusto Castle. All the other attractions of the city are within walking distance!
