Neighbourhood

The apartment is located in a very quiet residential area a few steps from the centre. In fact, it will be enough to take a few steps towards via Torino to be catapulted into one of the liveliest areas of the historic centre.

Side by side you will find pubs, breweries, meat and fish restaurants and local specialties (boiled meats, knife-edged ham and tasty oily fish). Whether it's for a "rebechìn", an aperitif or an evening with friends, the area is full of life and events, and is much appreciated by the young people of Trieste who gather here.

For breakfast we recommend a stop in our favorite places: at Mug in Piazza Hortis you can have breakfast with cupcakes, brownies and smoothies or something chocolatey at Chocolat. Is it why not stretch to the shores? The Illy-branded bar inside Eataly, in addition to serving the highest quality coffee, offers you a breathtaking view of the sea.

To taste the typical dishes, we recommend taking a table at Siora Rosa, a historic trattoria since 1921, or at nearby Le Botti: simply let the staff guide you for a genuine taste experience (many people from Trieste go there to eat). Also in via Torino, we point out DRAW, a very trendy place with exclusively raw dishes, and PURO, perfect both for eating and for a cocktail. Absolutely worth mentioning, a few steps away, Le Barettine to taste fish-based dishes: their raw appetizer will amaze you!

From Via Torino you can walk towards Piazza Unità in two ways: walking among the elegant buildings of Cavana, where it will be really difficult not to give in to an Aperol spritz or a glass of Prosecco, or walking along the sea, with the elegant buildings side and the bobbing boats on the other.

In summer a stop at Pier The Roof, right on the pier near Eataly, is a must: on the ground floor you will find a fish restaurant, and on the roof a cocktail & fried fish place.

Transport

From the train station it is possible to reach the apartment keeping the sea always on the right, with a 25-minute walk, or 5 minutes by car.

You can park your car in the numerous blue car parking spots along the banks (for a fee, free from 8pm to 8am and on holidays): the cheapest are located between Eataly and the Ausonia bathing establishment. You can also look for a place in Via Diaz and Via Cadorna, but the center is highly coveted by all the inhabitants! Furthermore, a seven-minute walk away there is San Giusto Parking, located behind Piazza Unità.

Once you park your car, you can forget it: all the city's attractions are within walking distance!

From the station you can also take bus number 8, which stops in front of the Salone degli Incanti (you can find all the timetables on the Trieste Trasporti website!).

In front of the Salone degli Incanti there is also a City Bike rental station (www.bicincittà.it) :)
